In der Vergangenheit habe ich meine Kreationen aus Pergament auf der Webseite eines Herstellers von Hobbyartikeln ausgestellt. Leider hat der Hersteller vor kurzer Zeit beschlossen, die Anzahl der auszustellenden Karten pro Kunde stark zu limitieren. Ich habe mich daher entschlossen, meine Werke von jetzt ab hier auszustellen.

My parchment creations used to be displayed as part of a website of a company that creates parchment craft related products. Sadly, the company decided to severely limit the number of items one is allowed to display. I decided therefore to exhibit any past creations here.
Mit dieser Karte hat alles angefangen. Im Sommer 2005 entdeckte ich sie durch Zufall in einem Heft aus Australien. Ich war von dieser Technik einfach nur begeistert, aber hatte keine Ahnung, wie man dieses an Spitze erinnernde Muster auf einen Pergamentbogen zaubern konnte. Da ich breits eine Menge anderer Materialien zum Kartengestalten besaß, war ich mir lange nicht sicher, ob ich diese Technik ausprobieren sollte. Nach gut einem Jahr, und nicht mit den wirklich nötigen Werkzeugen, entstand dann diese Karte ... und danach viele, unzählige mehr.
This card from an Australian paper craft magazine which I had bought by chance back in 2005 sparked my curiosity about parchment work. I could not comprehend how one could achieve a lace type look on paper. Once I realized how many different tools were on the market for this craft, I decided to continue with the types of cards I had made thus far. About a year later, I flipped through that magazine again and just could not get the technique out of my mind. With only some basic tools at hand, I finally made an attempt at that card. It did not have the same accuracy as the original one but it was good enough for me to see the possibilities with the right tools.
